Prof. Artur Podhorodecki received his MSc Eng. in Physics (Solid State
Physics) from Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland
working on semiconductor laser nanostructures in 2003. He received PhD
(2007) and DSc (2013) from the same University based on his work on
colloidal nanostructures. He is a co-author of more than 100 scientific
papers with Hirsh index 19. He received number of prestigious awards
such as Prime Minister Award for the best PhD thesis in Poland in the
field of Material Engineering, Dionizy Smolenski Award in the field of
multidyscyplinary research, Scholarship of Ministry of Science and
Higher Education for outstanding young researchers, twice START
scholarship of Foundation for Polish Science, Max Born Scholarship in
the field of physics to mention only the most important. So far, he was
leading 6 research projects and participated as the main investigator in
number of other research as well R&D projects related with
nanotechnology. He is a founder and leader of group of Colloidal
Nanostructures at Department of Experimental Physics, WRUT. His is an
expert in experimental investigations of different types of
nanomaterials and in the physics of inorganic nanostructures.

Bartosz Krajnik received his MSc. (2009) and Ph.D. degree (2013) in Physics from the Nicolaus Copernicus University (UMK) of Toruń. He spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher with Prof. Johan Hofkens at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). In 2016 he joined the group of Prof. Artur Podhorodecki at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology where he develops the laboratory of super-resolution microscopy and single molecule/nanoparticle spectroscopy. His research interests are single molecule spectroscopy, super-resolution fluorescence microscopy, plasmonics and the development of new microscopy modes. He has built numerous custom optical systems, mainly fluorescence microscopes of a different kind.
